TIME OF FAVOR (2000) Joseph Cedar

  • SOPAC Loft 1 SOPAC Way South Orange, NJ, 07079 United States (map)

Come see Time of Favor as part of La Cinémathèque’s largest series ever!

Time of Favor is a taut thriller about the tense relationship between the orthodox nationalists and the military. Both a political-psychological drama and a love story between a passionate woman and two best friends, "Time of Favor" raises important questions of faith to one's religion, duty to one's nation, and love for oneself.

For this screening we are so excited to announce a guest lecturer, Dr. Samuel Peleg, political science professor and researcher at Rutgers University.  Click here learn more about Dr. Peleg and his expertise!

Film Introductions and post-screening discussion will be led by educator, artist, and filmmaker Gerard Amsellem.  This is part of a dual-series on Israeli cinema, with five films at the JCC and five at SOPAC.  Click here for more information.  Tickets are available from the SOPAC box office.

Please note: Attendance to JCC Israeli Series screenings does not guarantee SOPAC screening membership.   Your membership to the SOPAC series covers all five films and tickets for individual screenings are not available.
